buelljack
Hiya all, Been looking at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Unfinished-Electric-Jazz-Bass-Guitar-Kit-DIY-Project-New-Make-Your-Own-/390376150282?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item5ae43b550a I know they are not going to be the best of qualities, however Im interested for 2 reasons, 1. I fany learning the inner workings so I can adventure into upgrades and repairs in future 2. My girlfriend is working on projects for airbrushing and building her skills, so would let her customer paint it. Not looking for something to gig, just a pretty guitar that can be played at times for pleasure, I have decent quality ones for gigging. Just wondered what you guys thought for the money? Mr. Foxen
Might be better getting an unfinished body and neck, and assembling hardware yourself, since you can get nicer hardware that way, especially second hand bits from people who've given up on projects/parted out bitsas. Most of my basses are built like that.
buelljack
thats a fair idea, save me building it and then upgrading hardware on top.....
Ian Savage
I've got an Aria Pro II Magna bass which is a bit of a mess cosmetically but structurally sound, which is currently in bits as I was going to make a project of it myself - never got around to it though, shall probably get rid for not a lot of money if you're interested?
