Replacing 'Mechanical Potentiometer' in Boss pedal

Hi!

The metal part ([font=Calibri, sans-serif][size=4]Mechanical Potentiometer) under the Volume dial snapped off my Boss ODB-3. I got a good quote for a new part but I looked inside and it looks pretty difficult to replace, or even get to the old one as there is so much blocking the way.

Does anyone know any decent places to sort a problem like this I don't know where to start..

Been many years since I left Luton and I'm pretty certain that all of the places that you could have got it repaired back in the mid 80's are gone.

My best guess would be to go down into High Town and look for Doog Moody's 'Greenbank Music Village' (it's in the old church just up from the Post Office I think).
There are a number of different businesses operating from there and, if they can't repair it for you, they'll know where to send you.
