alanbass1
Up for trade is my Fender Custom Shop '58 re-issue relic telecaster. This is a 2008 limited edition in white see thru blonde. Equipped with a Nocaster bridge pick up and twisted tele neck pick up, a soft V neck and heavy relic finish. Comes complete with case, COA and ashtray bridge cover and strap. This is a great playing and sounding guitar but as I also have an original '56 tele and a DeTemple tele I thought I'd see if there is any interest in trading for a bass. alanbass1
Thanks, she does sound and play great, but I have an original '56 and a DeTemple so this doesn't get played - which is a shame
Schnozzalee
Chunky V necks have to be my fave, I don't mind U necks either - really beautiful guitar (especially the bodygrain!!) looks comfy
johnbiffa
Now what is obviously missing from your collection is an exceptional Gibson EB3 lovingly refinished and set up by the one and only Bass Doc of this parish ! Could that be of interest? John

alanbass1
Reckon that no-one will pay cash on what I think she is worth which is why I'm looking at trading - this cost me £2,400 in 2009 and I wouldn't sell for less than £1800
Schnozzalee
Out of interest, what is the fretwire and radius on this model?
alanbass1
Features include a heavy relic'd lightweight 2-piece lightweight ash body, thin skin nitro Nocaster blonde finish, '57 style soft "V" shape maple neck, 9.50" radius, Dunlop 6105 jumbo frets, '51 Nocaster bridge pickup, Twisted Tele® neck pickup, 3-way switch, 1-ply white pickguard and aged chrome hardware Edited August 23, 2012 by alanbass1
Schnozzalee
Not that the 7.5" radius is a problem on a Tele (frets seem higher than on a strat) it's far better having the flatter 9.5" radius for playability. I have a G&L where the V neck profile is the same all along whereas the Fender American Vintage '57 Stratocaster Reissue went from a V to a C profile behind the higher frets (both very nice indeed) but which is your tele like? alanbass1
It's a soft V that morphs into a C shape as you get further up the neck. Feels great and sounds even better, man I love tele's Edited August 24, 2012 by alanbass1
alanbass1
I also have a Marshall Class 5 amp in very nice condition (home use only) that I could throw in with the Tele for the right bass Looking for a real nice fretless or possibly a Pino P Bass. If you have a vintage bass I have other real nice gear and some cash to make a deal Edited August 26, 2012 by alanbass1
