Cyrene Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Time Is Running Out -- Muse Started with it yesterday. My posture must be f***ed because I can barely play it sitting down, which is how I spend 99% of my time with the bass. Quote
waynepunkdude Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Let's get it Started - BEP Horrid 'band' but damn right funky bassline. Quote

allighatt0r Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Velvet Revolver - Slither We've reached a band decision to do it in Drop D as per the record, so the intro is heavily extended (drummer starts while we're tuning, I join in then the guitairst joins in) We played it on Saturday and the guitarist didn't understand what song we were playing, so the intro carried on for a good 45 seconds to a minute... Felt very weird! Quote
PURPOLARIS Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 I've just had to learn around 20 songs for a new band. My three favourites are Skunk Anansie - Hedonism Muse - Time Is Running Out Kasabian - Fire Quote

By the first chorus my arms were starting to ache! I ended up slapping with a much lighter touch from the thumb and that allowed me to rattle the song off without my arms seizing up! Quote
Truckstop Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Just finished The Dance Of Eternity! Just need to tweak the sound for the solo and I'm all set to play it to no-one in particular. Learnt on the RBX no less! Truckstop Quote
BASainty Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 The 2 im most proud for learning (coz it took me ages to figure it out!!!) are The Pot and Schism by Tool. But my favourite bass line I learned was Killing in the name of by RATM just coz I get to rock out on it and its got some attitude to it. Quote
Lylodile Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 If You Have To Ask-RHCP It's a bugger if you learn it note for note. Quote
