Flex
Ok, I have decided to move on my Marshall stack after much deliberation. I love it to bits but don't play it much as my small combo fits my car better and is lighter (I'm getting old) and small pubs is what I mainly play. The Stack is in very good condition with minimal use. The guy I bought it from used it in his bedroom only , When I tried it out his wife jumped 6ft in the air as she never heard it driven before . The condition is 'tops' very few marks on the tolex and it has a set of Marshall covers for the head and the cab. The sound is full on madness such valvey goodness.........and monstrous to boot if required and also is sweet at lower levels too..... The rig has had little use in the time I have had it (approx 5 gigs) and of course the bedroom use from previous owner. The head will run at 2 or 4ohm's if teh 4x12 (4ohm) is not anough Trade wise I am open to suggestions, would like around 375W-900W head/cab or combo, I put a value of £700 (well under 1/2 price) for the complete set-up which is a good price for a very nice condition full valve set up including covers. What they say: The VBA400 has the massive tonal power of eight 6550 power tubes, plus three ECC83 and one ECC82 in the preamp section. The front panel controls are kept simple, but still offers a lot of tonal variation with the three-band passive EQ and 'Contour' control. Tuning your bass during a set is also made easier with the addition of the 'Tuner Mute' switch that cuts all sound to the speaker cabinets and DI output, while still feeding sound to the dedicated tuner output. The matching cabinets for the VBA400 head come in 4x12 and 8x10 configurations, both of which feature one piece construction to give extra strength and minimize unwanted cabinet rattle. They also have sound absorbent wadding to damp internal resonances. Internal partitioning further damps resonance and aids smooth performance. The custom designed loudspeakers have been specially selected to handle the power of the VBA400 amplifier. I can add a bit of cash also if needed in a trade the right rig. Cheers Flex Edited July 29, 2012 by Flex
