nissepalm
For sale (or ev. trade) is this unique bass, Ribbecke Halfling Bobby Vega model. The instrument is nothing but a piece of art and a dream to play. Its built in 2008 (no. 1074) but never played and in absolute mint condition (read new). This particular instrument is also equipped with a custom ebony armrest and optional wooden ornament and ebony lid for the soundhole. with these you can change the acoustic sound as well. The pickup in a magnetic Rob Turner/ Ken Armstrong collaboration with an absolutely magic versality soundwise. (approx € 7300 or GBP 5700) The bass comes in a Cedar Creek Pro HardCase I work professionally as a bassplayer in Sweden/Scandinavia. I traded this instrument for an upright some years back and my ambition was to use it in some productions in studio/live but it has been a well kept secret in my cubbard. This piece of art must be played and I will sell for €4000 or a serious offer. No trades? I might be interested in a custom color Fender P-bass before -71 ( no sunburst pls!!) depending on year and condition and I´m ready to take a fair and serious discussion. Thanks ! //Nils

Happy Jack
Noone, nothing, nowhere??
Have a little patience, mate. That's a gorgeous, exotic, unusual instrument. Most bass players have never even heard of Ribbecke. Depressingly, quite a few have never heard of Bobby Vega. You want (understandably) a lot of cash for it, or one very specific sort of trade. Even amongst those who know of Ribbecke's quality, that is going to massively reduce your potential pool of buyers. Did you think there would be a queue? Give it some time, maybe consider some other trades. Good luck with the sale. As it happens, I have (1965) but I have no plans to let go of it any time soon. philw
Thank god it's not fretless or I'd be in deep trouble here. I played a fretless Ribbecke BV at the NAMM show a couple of years back and the experience was close to orgasmic. My credit card, despite the $7000 price tag and all the duty and VAT to get the thing back home, was genuinely twitching. A truly awesome bass. PS. Boby Vega's such a great player too. For those who've not heard him, he's worth checking out on YouTube.

b.a.s.s.p.o.r.n
Hi, Clarky. Thanks for your suggestion: I had, in fact, sent the seller a PM. You, however, indirectly prompted me to look at his profile, which showed additional contact information. We'll see. Ciao!
