BassBunny
Hi Jake, Since Keith, (Yorks5stringer), moved South, I guess there isn't anyone to take up the mantle. I have been talking to Drew from Manchester Bass Lounge about a Manchester/North West one. Will give him a prompt and see how he feels about it. andydye
I'd happily pop accross for a Manc-bass-bash as it's closer to me than York or Leeds! Obviously my preference would be for a Sheff-bass-bash
funkypenguin
Manchester bash sounds fantastic to me!! Anywhere in Yorkshire is good though
goblin
Yeah I'd be up for it too, be it in Manchester or Yorkshire. As long as it's a Sunday, working on Saturdays
Gust0o
Bloody hell, we can't be having the Yorkshire bass bash in Manchester!!! Call it the Manc Bash and be done - you might also attract more interest
wriggers
I would definitely be there. Yorkshire preferably but Manchester is do-able too.
Bassman Sam
So.any news? I'd be up for either as a ex player PITA type hanger on.
BassBunny
Am meeting up with Drew from Manchester Bass Lounge week after next to have a chat about it. Timing could be an issue with UK Bass Day in Oct/Nov, Moffat Bass Bash in Feb and London Show in March.
steven gayle
I'm new to the site and really am just a novice but I can't believe a bash can't be organised for Yorkshire. Am willing to talk to anyone interested in trying to make this happen

fumps
Yes we are an embarrassment to all northerners by not getting this together. even a Yorkshire P*ss up is possible surely lol
andydye
Is there an easy mid point in Yorkshire that we can all get to within an hours drive? I guess that means Leeds then doesn't it...?
fumps
It all depends on what people want to do for this. A venue would be an easy thing to come by it's just stuff to do etc. ooo and beer

Mikey R
Did anyone find a venue for this in Leeds?
jimbobothy
Yeah, could someone PM me if anything gets sorted for another one (I presume this has been and gone), Cheers Edited January 24, 2013 by jimbobothy
fumps
No as far as I know nowt has been sorted yet......we are being slack-as-a-bag-a-knackers. I still maintain if a proper bass bash isn't on the cards a meet up for a pint should be organised
Gust0o
Pint! I mean, there's got to be nothing stopping us finding a good pint.
Dingus
I won't be anywhere in the vicinity , but I can personally confirm that Yorkshire is probably the best place in the country to drink a pint of beer ( all things considered , it's probably the best place in the country to live when I think about it ) . Both York and Leeds have got so many great pubs ( proving the haven't been closed down yet and replaced by themed bars ect ) and Tetleys , Sam Smiths , Theakstons , Timothy Taylors et al . Bassmonkey
You can count me in. How about somewhere like The Adelphi in Leeds? It's in the centre. Is a nice pub. Has a big room upstairs that may be hireable? Either an event or just a beer? Thoughts?
