I live in the in Sunderland, so anywhere in the north-east for me to pick up. Has anyone got anything that matches my description, or can you just tell me what is good to look out for? Thanks Quote
leschirons Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Depends what sort of gigs you're doing I suppose but if you don't need thousands of watts, the Eden Nemesis combos are reliable and good value secondhand. Alternatively the older USA Peavey combos (up to 300 watts) are built like tanks, never break down and are seriously cheap for what they deliver. Loads around secondhand. Quote
Lozz196 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 With the budget available, look at Peavey, Ashdown, Laney, Hartke. All good brands, will easily do the job. For a full band, my advice would be to look for at least 300 watts. Quote

Kesh Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I recently bought a 2nd hand 300W ashdown combo for exactly £200. Highly recommended. The issue is transporting the thing from where you buy it. Use gumtree for local stuff. Can you make it to Darlington? This is over priced as it is an old model and equivalent to the £200 one I bought but in cab/amp.
