Nordstrand NJ5 pickups and 2 band preamp for sale or trade

Hi

Im selling the Nordy pickups and pre from my Valenti 5 string jazz

Pickups are single coil to suit 19mm spacing at bridge, these will not suit a fender as far as i know!

Pre is 2B-4b i think and is 18volt (think it will run as 9v also) controls are volume, pan, 2 band boost and cut + passive tone control. I have decided to keep the pots and knobs so this is now Pre only hence the price drop! now £75

How early is your valenti? What's the preamp? Did it come as standard with one or two batteries? some of the early valentis Nico used this really clever (and small) element to get 18v out of a 9v battery.

Its number 106 so is only a year or so old, has 2 batteries

Ive just seen that bass actually!! Candy apple red four string jazz yeah? No42? My friend owns it

Im changing beacuse i prefer hum canceling pickups, thats all plus i prefer the sadowsky boost only pre

YAY! a nice bass, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside to have sold a bass to someone and it still gets played!
Wish I lived in the states, Valenti are fairly cheap over there!

Yeh luke (the guy you sold it to) is a good friend, and a great player! I had the pleasure of setting it up for him recently! Such a good bass! Still cant beleive how little it sold for in the end!

Anyway's ive just bought the pickups i need so need to get these nordy NJ5's sold!

[/quote] yeah it was silly low. I bought it as I thought it would work out, and if I didn't I could sell it for the same price again. (Maybe i should have given it longer, but hey, Luke's loss, Luke's gain)
