Leftbass
Can anyone recommend a reasonably cheap tuner that has an accurate setting for 430Hz. I know Boss did the TU19 But as far as I know it's no longer produced. .
Rammstein2012
Tc Electronic Polytune. i'm pretty sure that will do 430Hz. Its accurate too at 0.5cent
sixdegrees
The planet waves mini headstock tuner goes from 430 - 450 Hz. Under 15 quid too.
Leftbass
Thanks guys. Sixdegrees is that tiny unit reliable. The demo looks very good. But how about bass?
BigRedX
The Peterson tuners all appear to go from A=390 to A=490.
sixdegrees
I've found the PW Mini to be reliable enough not to have used my Boss TU-2 since I got it. I had to play around with its position when I first got it to find the 'sweet spot' - as close to the nut as possible is best. I even used it to drop tune between songs before I fitted a Hipshot D-tuner. I've only used it for the 440hz setting though.
iiipopes
Korg. Best value for money. You can set them to whatever frequency you desire. In my decades of experience, they filter out the crap and read the true pitch of the string better and quicker than anything else. I used to go rack mount; now I have one of their hand-helds on the side out of my amp.
