Shockwave Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Hey Guys. This is a factory modified Warwick NT5 Thumb. Serial number L52 86'. The 52nd ever Thumb 5 built It was NOS until it was modified in factory before being originally sold to the newer pickup angle and two peice bridge. It has virtually no wear on all of its 26 frets and has a lovely Ebony Fingerboard. Has some superficial cracks in the paintwork, pretty minor, one slight one on the front. The bass is fairly old! Emg pickups. Only a feeler at the moment as the bass is not in my hands, but will be available from Friday or Early next week. £1200 Trade only for wide string spaced 6 String bass, or GIbson RD. I may consider a part exchange for a Fender/Musicman (Something easily sellable), but would need at least £600-800 my way. I can post at buyers cost or can meet up in Swindon/Bristol/London. Cheers! Rob.
cocco Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 That's very nice. White and gold works so well on a thumb and I wouldn't have expected it to.

tauzero Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012
Would prefer in green.
You'll be wanting Shockwave's MVP-5 then...

Shockwave Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 Have a possible part exchange deal on, though not confirmed yet.
Mr. Foxen Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Only had to wrap it, put in in the case, wrap the case, put the case in another bag, then box and pack out the thing before the green stopped coming through the package.
Kev Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I can imagine this bass will be pretty sweet Rob, you may love it! Handmade NT Thumbs are fantastic instruments.
Shockwave Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 Sale agreed pending pickup. And Kev, you are right, its an amazing sound! Lovely player, I think after I get the bass I am after next, I will be after a Thumb Broadneck!
