Bloc Riff Nut
Hi everyone, I'm new to recording so here's a newbie question. There's a Tascam 2488 on it's way to me and it has 4 x XLR Mic inputs and 4 x Line inputs. I want to use it to record our rehearsals. I'll use the balanced mic inputs for vocals,drums,guitar.(mic-xlr cable-tascam) I'll use the line inputs for bas, keys, maybe guitar. Am I right in thinking I need a TRS cable from the line out of my amp to one of the line inputs of the Tascam 2488? Cheers in advance. Phil. brensabre79
Probably not. If it says it is a BALANCED line input then a TRS would be appropriate, but if it is not a balanced input a Mono Jack will suffice. The line out on your amp is probably not balanced anyway.
