Hi,

I've since updated the post, (I was in a hurry when I put it up earlier!)

To clarify, I put the copper tape that came with the pick up onto the paddle to fit on my old bass as it made it a slightly more snug fit in the wings of the bridge. It doesn't affect the sound.
