Vinny Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 It seems unemployment is disagreeing with me, cos I gets a bit bored today and decides this here Jazz ain't got enough strings. A no-name MM-alike from the far east has nobly laid down it's life for science. So what do I stick in the big gaping hole? A J5 or get me big hammer out again and stick another MM-type in? This is where I need the advice - If I get another MM, will it matter that the taper means the strings won't be over the poles? Will it sound gash with one of those in anyway? It'll be staying passive for now, awaiting earning enough coin to rid it of that vile bridge! What would you lot do? Or simply press 'back' for the "...like I care, dickhead..." option. Quote
Gust0o Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I'd go for a J5. I mean, half the attraction of having a Jazz, is the neck pick-up solo - it's a sound you don't get from much else. That'd be my call. Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Or a bar pole J, the cheap covered ones should do it. Quote
