jonunders
Hi all, I'm looking for a good, lively, known, blues bassed song to play live at our next gig. Any suggestions? We are a six piece band with bass, guitar, drums, keyboard and 1 male, 1 female singer. Thanks in anticipation of your ideas. gerryc
How about "Come Home" by Back Door Slam. Not very well known but well worth checking out. Edited August 5, 2012 by gerryc

Stingray5
From one of the greatest Blues albums of all time.... Born Under A Bad Sign (feat. B B King) Springfield Soul Stew (funky-blues with nice bass intro - no credit but might be Bob Glaub who does play on a few other tracks)
Looper
Anything by Willie Dixon. Well known and you'd find any number of versions to listen to. I ain't superstitious. Little red rooster. Spoonful. Back door man. The list goes on, covers by a lot of well known sixties bands.

jonsebass
Theres always Parissiene Walkways by Gary Moore/Thin Lizzy - keyboard player can do the rhythm guitar parts (which is kind of synthyish anyway) and there is harmonies and chance to split the lead vocal. ezbass
Sneakin' Sally is a great call! How about a little jazz tinged blues from Robben Ford, Help The Poor. Nice bass line too from the great Roscoe Beck (yeah I'm a fanboy) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvqYd90FuBU&feature=youtube_gdata_player Edited August 6, 2012 by ezbass
