OK, I'm no Fender expert, but does anyone know anything about these basses? Seems a good price if it is genuine...

If memory serves me well, when Fender bought out Kubicki one of the first things Fender did was to put the Kubicki circuitry on a range of Jazz basses.

I'm not sure whether it was a good or bad thing really, more a case of Fender [at the time] being low on ideas, buying out a company that was doing something creative and fresh, then assimilating their tech into a 40-year old design.

I knew someone who had the P version and swore he'd never sell it.

Yeh, Kubicki ciruitry but they weren't around for long. HArdly ever se 'em popping up over here. Remember freight and import duty/VAT if you go for this.
