OK, I'm no Fender expert, but does anyone know anything about these basses? Seems a good price if it is genuine...

I had a 5 string version, they play well but don't have the classic Jazz sound to my ears.

I've been looking for a tatty 5 string version after buying a Warmoth body that'll only fit Fender 5 string neck made before a certain date, sadly i don't know what that date is.....

If memory serves me well, when Fender bought out Kubicki one of the first things Fender did was to put the Kubicki circuitry on a range of Jazz basses.

I'm not sure whether it was a good or bad thing really, more a case of Fender [at the time] being low on ideas, buying out a company that was doing something creative and fresh, then assimilating their tech into a 40-year old design.

Yeh, Kubicki ciruitry but they weren't around for long. HArdly ever se 'em popping up over here. Remember freight and import duty/VAT if you go for this.
