risingson Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 It's really annoying but I generally consider leads as collateral and replace them once they've totally worn out, usually after a year or two. Quote

chris_b Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 No one stands on my cables, not even me. Why are people who are not in the band anywhere near your cables? Get territorial and kick everyone else out of your space. Quote
musophilr Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I hate it when my leads get trod on. Especially when I do it. When other people do it the first thing I say* is "OI! Gerrorff moi leeeed!" * spelt "s h o u t" Quote
lojo Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Not so worried about leads but I've seen a few people think its ok to put a drink on my amp whilst they Pratt about with whatever there doing Quote
BottomE Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I am an idiot who steps on his own cables I thread the lead through the strap so it doesn't come out of the bass but stops me in my tracks sometimes. Hate doing it but must do it at least once per gig. Quote

No? Then get it off my amp" Quote
4 Strings Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Sure its not Mr OBBM drumming up more work? Quote
Chris2112 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Ah, the joy of playing seated gigs! I still loop the cable under my strap though, to provide a safety barrier! Quote
+1 anyone in the band should know better and gets short shrift for this behaviour. Anyone not in the band has no business on stage and gets removed swiftly. Their drink gets my chewing gum in it for good measure. Quote
4 Strings Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I have to say that the short comings of jack plugs and seeing how silly people look if their jack comes out means that I habitually put the lead through the strap and also wrap it around something on the amp end too (handle etc). Also prevents the plug getting yanked downwards if I tread on my lead. Quote
