Josh Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, This is a bit of an urgent sale as I've just checked my accounts and I need to pay off my credit card ASAP before I head off to California at the end of the month, so unfortunately I need to sell this amazing bass which I'm already regretting :/ I think everybody knows about these great basses. They are regarded as quite the swiss-army knife of basses as they can basically replicate any tone you might, from Hi-Fi slap to a mellow dub like tone, and everything in between. I got this in a trade from WaveyDavey a few months ago and he had looked after the bass brilliantly, as such the bass is in great condition all around. And he also acquired a scratch plate for the bass which is on as you can see in the pics but it's not fixed on properly, it's purely held on with double sided tape so if you wish to remove it you simply need to pop it off. It is a 2007 model also. Pics: And Daves picture without the scratch plate: WITHDRAWN Again this is a reluctant sale and if my money situation improves quickly then I will withdraw this bass. Any other info or questions please just ask. Thanks guys, Josh. Edited August 23, 2012 by Josh
Josh Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012
How does it sound in drop D or C?
I've played in D with it and it's nice and clear and the tension is nice too, for drop C it would just need a slight action adjustment and maybe a heavier gauge but I'm sure it will sound nice and growly but still crisp and defined
waveydavy Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Surprised this is still here.Lovely bit of kit this- decent weight, good low action and it does a fantastic range of sounds. Josh is a great guy to deal with too.
Josh Posted August 11, 2012 Author Posted August 11, 2012 Here's a quick video demo of the bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28nMeAOQndc&feature=youtu.be I'm going from the humbucker to both and then the single coil and panning between all 3 in each posisition. EQ is all flat.
Josh Posted August 12, 2012 Author Posted August 12, 2012
what are the pups and pre in this please?
The pick ups are Laklands own which I think are designed with Bartolini and the preamp is the Lakland LH3. giblett123 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Quick question, what does she weigh? Any neck dive? Cheers.
The weight is shy of 8lbs, it's easily one of the lightest basses I've ever had and there's absolutely no neck dive issues at all.
BottomE Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Bump - me bad timing otherwise you would have a deal.
giblett123 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I'm hugely tempted, these are cracking basses and I've never seen one at this price, cash is tight so I'll have to have a serious think, someone will pick up a huge bargin here though!
