Mr Fretbuzz Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Looking forward to these much smaller pedals coming out in January :-) Quote
Mr Fretbuzz Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Check out the Ashdown Facebook page, there is a fuzzy photo of them in development...... :-) Quote
simwells Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 They actually finally listened! If they make a smaller Hyperdrive I may have to pick one up. Quote
Mr Fretbuzz Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Just bought myself a LoMenzo ......... It's cool looking though :-) I'll wait until January now before getting anything else :-) Quote
KingBollock Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Oh goody, if they do this then I might be able to get one of the old ones a bit cheaper! I love the look of the old/current one and I don't have to worry about floor space. Quote
There's only so long companies can go on being ignorant I guess? I hope Mike Matthews et al at EHX pay a little closer attention to their audience - they always seem to have good ideas but their execution is a little off. Quote

EskimoBassist Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 From the pictures, the enclosure in the foreground seems to say "Threshold" so I'll guess that's a compressor. And the orange one in the background seems to have a screen, so it'l probably be a tuner. Quote

bottomfeed Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Jeez!... what's with the 'art' pic?.... why so out of focus?.... I wanna see what the hyperdrive will look like... not have to guess! .... maybe I need to take another look after downing a bottle of Pinot Grigio whilst wearing a beret & cravat? .... hmmm, that may actually work!.... after one glass I feel all warm & fuzzy... & that green one looks interesting already, darlings!.... charic Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I know it's all about the sound but they look like they're losing a lot of the character of the pedals Quote
danhkr Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 (edited) Look interesting but is it me or do the foot-switches look a bit too close to the controls on a couple of them?? Edited October 19, 2012 by danhkr Quote
Mr Fretbuzz Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 Yep I just spotted then on FB. Winkle Pickers seem to be required for the Fuzz and Envelope How would you use these and what effect do they give ? I've got compression and octave on my Ashdown Amp. Quote
simwells Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Oh well that's disappointing all I wanted was a smaller Hyperdrive and yes some do look like they'd be fiddly to hit the pedal accurately without altering settings. Quote
It's probably easiest just to listen to other pedal sounds on youtube but fuzz is a form of distortion essentially just fuzzier! An envelope filter is auto wah type effect, think 70s funk. Shep did a few articles on the various types of effects if you're interested in reading more too. Quote
