Stylon Pilson Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Presumably, if you turned the camera 90 degrees to the right, we'd see the huge pile of junk that you'd just swept off of your desk? S.P. Quote

Mornats Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 That's very nice. Mine's way too cramped at the moment. Are they 5" speakers you've got there? Was just curious about whether they pump out enough bass for you. I've got a pair of BX5a's that are a bit lacking in the bass. Not sure if it's my setup or the speakers though as my desk is right in the corner. Quote
ROConnell Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 It looks really nice and slick! Very tidy too. Tidy equals productive. Though I'm not sure how productive actual work would be in there though with that nice TC rig sitting in that corner! Quote

More important than how good any speaker is, is that you know them. As long as they're revealing enough you're laughing IMHO. Having the speakers in the corner usually makes things basses iirc. Have you tried getting your speakers at ear level? Makes a world of difference. Quote

Did consider using a hub but I expect it would cause more trouble than it solved Quote

51m0n Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Time to build some bass traps and broadband absorption I think.... (Note to self, must get on with first proper blog piece!) Quote
charic Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 It's rented acommo and not likely to be anywhere near an "ideal" room unfortunately, just somewhere nice to work and mix Quote
charic Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 Yep it got a few scratches when I moved it from my grandads garage but they'll smooth out Quote

Not too expensive or difficult either if you have some tools and time.... Quote
charic Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 Time yeah.. kinda.. Tools I can borrow On a side note 51m0n do you know if using the USB switch would likely introduce any problems with the MBOX? Quote
51m0n Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I honestly dont know, havent used an mbox. Sorry! Quote
Rimskidog Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 protools isnt great with hubs. Some work better than others. I think I might have one around that works if you want it? Quote
charic Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 I've already ordered this thanks, its just for switching the interface between two different computers. If its just going spare then I might still be interested though, thanks! Quote
