I have some tentative plans to do some samples, but sold off all my studio gear a couple of years ago so may have to call in a couple of favours from some mates to get the gear I need. Certainly won't be before Xmas though.
leftybassman392 Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 Long time no see. Just thought I'd pop by with a little update about the guitar.... In the original design, one of the pull switches was wired to put the bridge humbucker in parallel mode. As it turned out, this meant that some settings caused the entire guitar to short to earth (not a health issue btw, just a sudden and unexpected loss of signal! ). It wasn't a problem as such, just a quirk of the humbucker's wiring. After some discussion with Rob, we agreed to explore some different options. Long story short, we've now lost the parallel setting but gained the ability to have any combination of pickups (including - amongst others - the classic Telecaster mid position setting of bridge sc plus neck). Eleven different settings in all. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to explore them all as we're moving house soon and the place looks like a warehouse! I'll report back again when we're in the new place and I've had some time to roadtest it properly.
