Eggy
Went to see Tom Jones at Newmarket this weekend. About 20 foot from stage. Tom and the whole band were great and the Bass, who I now know to be Dave Bronze, was just fantastic. Good to watch a master in action Eggy
Len_derby
It's always a nice extra when that sort of thing happens. I went to see Andy Fairweather Low a year or so back and Dave Bronze was the unexpected icing on the cake there too. He's a class act is Mr.Bronze. I think my favourite stuff of his is with Eric Bibb, often they played as just a duo. Check out the live album 'An evening with Eric Bibb' (also available on dvd) for a masterclass on how to use an electric bass to support a singer playing an acoustic guitar. Bikenbass
I was at Newmarket too. Now a confirmed Jones fan, 72 and still that voice? I liked that he was 'just' the lead singer in a band, not playing the superstar. Excellent show. Bet a tenner on the races, none of mine won, good evening though.
