SgtSam
Don't know how many members you have from my neck o' the woods. I live about about 50 miles NW of Chicago, IL, USA. Your forum looked interesting, so I though I'd join it. If it helps any, I was born in Northampton, UK, back in 1944. My father was a B-17 tailgunner, and later a B-17 maintenance tech. My mother was from Bonniebridge, Scotland. She was a Wren in the British Army when she met my father. According to the two of them, it was love at first sight. Must have been! They were married for almost 68 years when mom passed away last year. Dad followed her 11 months later. My mother and I came to the US in 1946. I still have a ton of fabulous relatives in the UK. Plan on making a trip back next Summer to do some visiting. As far as bass goes! I've been playing bass since the Summer of 1962. I've been primarily a Fender devotee over the years, still own 5 of them. I've tried many other brands, with Ibanez being the bulk of my none Fender's. Nothing seems to really suit me like a Fender does, though. The P-Bass in particular. I currently play in 3 bands. Music styles are Southern Rock, Full up Country (40's to present), and my Praise band at church (I play bass, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar here). So, I hope to be able to contribute something of interest and value along the way, and enjoy myself in the process. Oh, the nickname SgtSam comes from my military career. 21 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force, with a little over a year Naval Reserve on the front end of my career. I worked for a U.S. Defense Contractor, Northrop-Grumman, for 26 years after the military, retiring last year. OK. Enough of this. On to the Forum! SgtSam Take Care, God Bless, and Watch Your Back!
