I saw this when it was first released, and it just looks like a whole heap of fun. I do love how Line6 are essentially pioneering the use of networking protocols in music, which seems to be coming around more often now with Cat5/Cat6 multicores and that sort of thing.

However standard Cat5/6 cable is terrible for live use. It's designed for permanent installations where it's not going to be flexed and the connectors simply aren't robust enough for constant plugging/unplugging. I'm on my 3rd cable for connecting my Shortboard to my Pod the previous teo having failed at either the plug or the conductors.

I agree that the RJ45 connectors are not designed for multiple re-use and the Neutrik connectors should be better. Even at work the office desks are littered with RJ45 plugs with broken clips. The cables also need to be more robust. Maybe wireless will be the way forward.
