[/quote] There are a few around in the natural colour, though the black was more popular (probably because Jonas favoured this colour scheme). I believe they were manufactured in an undisclosed factory in Italy through a licencing agreement Jonas made, but were sold under the 'sound of Sweden' name. Jonas also had some signature amplification being made at this time, under a similar agreement IIRC.

Talking to an old friend today who was working in the company selling the Hellborg bass, he said that in Sweden they only sold the Hellborg model in black. The amp factory was in fact ( i belive) the same that made FBT. And since Hagstrom had been the REP for FBT in Sweden a few years earlier... none of the amps came out on the market in Sweden, as my friend could recall. In the earlier thread about this, i think someone quoted Wikipedia on this subject! Cheers!

Chris2112 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 If you like the sound of these basses, check out 'Elegant Punk' by Hellborg. The first 5 tracks or so are recorded using one of these. He used his Wal basses for the rest of the album.
