adamk550 Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012
My god, i love the 5 strings. A trade with a Benavente Vortex Custom 5 strings ? I think That your response is " no ", but i must try !!! Good sale.
A few people have asked about trades: sorry I'm not interested in a trade as I'm reducing the number of basses I have as I'm no longer playing much due to a shoulder injury. Thanks for the interest.
wombatboter Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Could you tell what the controls are on the doubleneck...?
adamk550 Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012
Could you tell what the controls are on the doubleneck...?
There is an overall volume and two tone controls all of which have the standard Wal pull switches for the tone shaping and pick attack. The fourth control allows you to blend the top and bottom necks: T of all top (fretted) neck, B for all bottom (fret less) neck or somewhere in between. This can be useful when using the MIDI from the top neck to trigger pads or sequences and then playing your lines on the fret less. Tricky to do but quite impressive if you can pull it off!
bassman_ Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Hi Adam, is the fretted 4-string already for sale? Rds Dirk
Francesco Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Big Bump for this extraordinairy set of Wal's. Did you already sell? Lovely five string!
WalMan Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) The passive fretless is a bit like my Pro1 fretted, but has a W not PB in the serial. It has the same PB teardrop control with the coil tap between vol & tone that mine used to have, but the pup on mine was more central. IIRC there was a Pro1 fretless @ Bass Direct a few months back asking £1,800. Edited September 9, 2012 by WalMan
adamk550 Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 Despite a lot of requests for more info/pictures, all 4 of these basses are still available.
Lacertus Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Are these beauties still available?? Please check PM...
Lacertus Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 She arrived yesterday in good shape. Lovely bass, I'll take good care of her, and thank you very much!
sorgas Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I pmed you for the 4 string fretted..still available??
adamk550 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 A quick update: the fretless has been sold, the others are still available
paulmcnamara Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I remember the doubleneck being auctioned on Ebay a good few years back, presumably when you got it? I did consider bidding for it, but got a single 4 string Wal. Still envious a little. Good luck with your sale/s. ATB Paul.
adamk550 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 Paul - yes I bought it on eBay a few years back. As I suspected, not much interest in the double neck so that will likely be the one I keep
mikeswals Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Adam, maybe you can tell us which ones are still available. It sounds like two are sold, but really unclear which two.
Jigster Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 the fretless and the Mach ll 4 string, I believe.
adamk550 Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 Hi 3 basses are now sold: the 4 fretted and fretless and the 5 string I still have the double neck but I plan on keeping that for now - can't completely go Wal-less
marcus bell Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 That fretless is beautiful. I must own a wal someday
The Twickerman Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013
Hi 3 basses are now sold: the 4 fretted and fretless and the 5 string I still have the double neck but I plan on keeping that for now - can't completely go Wal-less
That's a shame. Only just seen the thread. That's the one I'd pick! How much were you asking? I never did see a price.
beanzy619 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I could get you 5000 usd for the wal double neck by the end of september 2013. If that interests you, than i'd be happy to by it from you.
mikeswals Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Adam, too bad we don't live within a reasonable distance. If the double neck is too heavy for a bum shoulder I would have offered a trade of my Midi MkII towards your double neck.
