I'll put some pics up, yes. I have a Hipshot Supertone bridge on order, so I'll do before and afters...I really don't get on with the three-point bridges. Release date is supposed to be 25/10, but I've actually no idea when it'll arrive.

Over on the LBO one of the guys just picked up his NR in pelham blue and has posted a couple of pictures. Very pretty bass.

Key Music are telling me delivery for mine is going to be mid-December to mid-January 2013. Apparently Thomann have already sold out their allotment.

I think the black hardware on the vintage sunburst looks good, but on the pelham blue just looks cheap.

I wonder why they could not get the three pots in a straight line with the jack below or to the side or something. Aesthetically looks poorly thought out.

That is the first Gibson bass I've ever liked! Not keen on the down-tick headstock though, looks weird without the up-tick one. Id still buy one though, can't wait til second hand ones crop up for sale.

Which is how the original layout was. I wonder if it has something to do with the cable passing over the controls when tucked through the strap. The new layout would be ergonomically better if not so aesthetically pleasing.

I was in the Wembley Guitar Centre today, and they told me that Gibson have decided to cease manufacture of the RevTB, and will only fulfil orders in the North American market. Has anyone had an order completed within Europe?

For me it's a bad thing.

Wanted one of these for years but this issue has put me right off. A good reissue might have sold me one each of these but alas I shan't be buying.

I was actually have a dig at Gibson - I suggested they no longer use chrome hardware and pickups because they look and sound good. My point being that Gibson's current TB incarnation isn't a patch on the originals...

Not yet. Key Music told me that Gibson would be fulfilling all orders globally, so I will still be on track for mid-January. Elsewhere (I think LBO), there was talk of these being a limited run anyway...400 of each model was mentioned.

I would like it more (in chrome) if there was a way of retro-fitting a 60s style two part bridge, but as things stand, mine will get a Supertone the day it arrives.. I'm really not a fan of the three point monstrosities that Gibson put on their basses.
