Sad loss of another bassist!

Surely harder to deal with when it is suicide so thoughts are with his family and friends.

Good grief, that's two of EJ's bassist gone. Dee Murray passed away some time back in his mid 40's. Tragic.

Wow, that's a real shock for me to wake up to.
I still do a fair amount of touring with EJ and he was a nice fella and an incredible & underrated bassist.
Gobsmacked.

EDIT: Not wishing to detract from the news, but this year has seen a pattern in the sad loss of bassists; Donald Dunn, Bob Babbitt and now Bob Birch.

That is a shock. I loved his playing on Elton`s hit`s show he did a few years back at Madison square gardens. Even sadder when it seems like it is suicide. Yet another sad loss to the music industry this year and of course, to his family and bandmates.
