Ive decided to get a couple of Ashdown cabs and am wondering what to go for for the most flexibility.

I have a MiBass so thinking a Mi12 as a portable rehearsal and small gig cab.

I'm then thinking of a vs 212 for lager gigs.

I could then connect both at 4 ohms to get the 500 out of my head.

Is my thinking correct?

Are my choice of cabs correct?

I can get any Ashdown cabs but the do have to be ashdown.

Not sure myself, the only 1x12 i've really used is the Line LD150 combo, which isn't exactly a good indicator. The only thing is with the VS models, you may have to watch the volume/low end a bit as it's a really low power handling. They're designed for the LB30 so have a very low handling, as it's only 30w.

I like the looks of the Mibass 112 and 110 also, especially for a practice cabinet. They are 250 watt cabinets and weigh 16kg and 10kg respectively. The Mi 10 is 4 ohms , has a whizzer cone, and is rated at 250 watts. The Mi 12 has a HF Horn/Tweeter, and is also rated at 250 watts. It is 8 ohms.

The 112 is 8 ohm so 2 can be used with the mibass.

I've decided to go for one 112 with my mibass until I discover what I need going forward. Then add another mi12 or vs212 in the future.
