john_the_bass Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 morning do you have any recommendation where to get the rubber cable ramps that you can cover your cables with when you have to lay them on the floor in a venue. We played on saturday night and had to run the cables across the main entrance and taped them down with large quantities of gaffa so they didn't trip anybody up - but the rubber mat/ramp things would be the ideal solution. Any good suppliers? Quote
BOD2 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Is this the sort of thing you mean ? neat-ideas.com Note that this type allows 3 mains-width cables side by side and comes in 1 metre lengths. If, so then most office suppliers (e.g Staple, Viking Direct etc.) should have them. Quote

stevebasshead Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 There's several choices here too: http://www.mayfairstationers.co.uk/compute...s-c-513_74.html Quote
john_the_bass Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 cheers men - yes that's the kind of thing - ideally it should fit anything up to 4 mic cables and 4 mains cables under. i will investigate the links. Quote
stevebasshead Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 From what I can see some of them have no access to place the cables in the holes other than threading them through whereas others have a slit to press them through from underneath. Just something to bear in mind, although it shouldn't do any harm to add your own slit to a solid-type one if you needed to. Quote
