chilievans
A friend at work has offered me what I think is a cracking deal An Ashdown little giant 350 + a 1x15 home made cab with an eminence big cat speaker inside for £100. I don't know much about amps an cabs so I'm wondering if its worth it?
xgsjx
So, you've got a rather nice bass & play it through the PA? Sounds cheap enough, but it is cheap.
chapsimon
I'd get it, if it suits you great. If not, the Little giant is worth £100 just as a back up to whatever else.
chilievans
What do you mean? Its a pa speaker?

What I was asking is do you play your bass through PA or is it to be your "rig"? If it's for your main rig, I would say your bass deserves better. For a backup, it's fine & cheap enough. Or if it's all you can budget for, get it & upgrade the cab & amp as & when you can afford to.
chris_b
Are you gigging or rehearsing at volume? If you are then I'd suggest something "better", if not then your cube should be good enough for playing at home. The bottom line is, if it sounds good to you then it's worth it. [/quote] Well TBH as I don't play in a band I'd only be using it at home so its probably a bit over the top. As its a choice of the cube or the ashdown maybe I'll just keep the cube Decisions decisions
