Anyone who undewrstands the idiom would recognise the difference between real players and this kit quite quickly. Where it is concerning is when you realise that people playing computer games or watching movies (where a lot of this stiff gets heard) would not notice or, even if they did, they woudln't care. That's a tragedy.

Whoever created this software can go to their grave in the knowledge that they created a musical version of 'Sunny D'

It's hardly a big deal. The product being demo'd is just a set of samples and a version of Kontact to play them.

I was in a band doing similar stuff with synths playing them through distortion pedals back in the mid 80s.

You should also check out the work of the band "Young Gods" from the 90s.

I'd love to see someone turn up at a festival and try and support Slayer with one of these. It'd make the 'chicken wire' scene from the Blues Brothers look like a snowball fight....

That said, quite a nice toy I'm sure.
