finnbass
Not a member.... How many times does a fella have to ask to have his account deleted???? Sorry about this but it's the only way I'll get any reaction from the bums and stiffs who run this board... BigRedX
This one's really bugging me because I'm sure I've seen another pic of this bass with the last 6 months. There is what looks like writing on the body just where the neck joins which is something that Washburn do, and the headstock is similar to a design they use. On the other hand I keep thinking it might be a Yamaha - why?
lowhand_mike
headstock looks familiar, i thought it might be a vigier, there is also another company that have writing in that same position but i cant for the life of me think who it is right now. off to do some google searches. Bassassin
The headstock's very similar to a Curbow: Possibly a less well known or one-off Curbow design? Jon.
Alien
My first thought was that it might be an early Roscoe, from the 80's or early 90's. Andy
BigRedX
Found it! It's a Riverhead Phantom I'm pretty sure there was one up on eBay (in white like your example) earlier this year which is where I probably recognised it from.

There was also a BX-5 (5-string). I wanted one when they came out.
BigRedX
Ta! That's the Yamaha I was thinking of.

Bassassin
If anyone's interested in one of these Riverheads - there is one on the Bay right now. Although considering who's selling it - it's likely to stay there... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/80s-RIVERHEAD-HEADLE...emZ180240148620 J. I would rather wait forever than to buy anything from those overpriced jugheads! Thanks for the head-up, though. Here's the kind of customer service they leave for all negatives & neutrals on ebay: "WE RUN A TIGHT BIZ & RECEIVE 200E-MAILS A DAY-CANT ANSWER ALL RIGHT AWAY-THANKS!" -- Sounds like my kind of people -----NOT Edited May 6, 2008 by mgauction
