Yup. And not necessarily at peak times. Perhaps there's some ongoing work on the host servers, with some of them being taken offline in turn.
The site's speed seems normal today, so far.

We are having reports that some users can't access BC at all today, on PC or iPhone. It's working fine on my PC, though.

Seems OK now, but I was certainly having troubles earlier.

It seems to have been a routing problem - I was able to ping everything shown in a tracert from here all the way through to the BassChat IP address and there it failed.

If I RDP'd onto another desktop which has a different ISP (and therefore a different default route) I was able to get a response from the BC IP address.

...which is a posh way of saying that there's probably a datacentre out there that's had builders in today and one of them unplugged a router to make room for his drill...

LOL I was going to suggest that those who had problems should try to ping the site, then thought better of it
As I said in one of my previous messages, it does look like they're doing work on the host(s) but trying not to take them all offline at the same time (thankfully!).

The site has been very slow to load on my FF in the last couple of days. That only happens on basschat.co.uk so I guess it's nothing to do with my ISP or setup. Anyone else having the same problem again?
