hello there!

I have been kicking about this place for a month or 2, and never formally introduced myself, i am sorry.

My friends normally call me Milton, or Milty. I'm 19, and i am an A level student. of course 19 isn't the normal age of an A level student, but i did leave school and become a joiner for 2 years (which is quite regrettable). Anyway, I have been playing bass for about 18 months, and not only have i learned alot about bass, but i think i have developed pretty well as a musician (although my skills on every other instrument are even more limited than my bass playing skills). I'm doing an A level in performing arts as a musician, and hope to go on to uni in England next year.

I love the technical side of instruments, although i know very little about it, i love learning about it. everything from timber technology to how a head is wired, i love it all. In terms of tone, i really aspire to fleas tone, although that isn't likely. or else Mr. Commerford. yes, red hot chili peppers and rage against the machine are a couple of my favourite bands, but i also love dire straits, the eagles, fleetwood mac, bruce springsteen, and many other bands of that era.

Over the short space of time i have been playing, i have bought and sold quite a few basses, purely on the fact that it didn't impress me enough to keep, and i made small upgrades with every purchase. Right now, i have a korean made OLP HH with 3 band EQ, and a fender jazz bass, which is actually just a body at the minute, and it is getting painted. I have an ashdown ABM 400 head from 1998, with 2 1x15 speaker cabs, made by a friend many years ago (before i started playing).

Thats basically everything about me. i have found most of you guys to be pretty pleasant and light hearted, which i enjoy. I likely will post stupid questions on here at times, but please bare with me, im still learning :D

If you have read this far, well done you!

Thanks.

Milty.
