philwood Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Just put together a website so if you get a minute I would appreciate any feedback / constructive criticisms. Thanks very much www.sharp5sharp9.co.uk Quote
swanbrook Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Yeah I enjoyed that, love your choice for videos on the home page show some really great chops and cool groove. All looks smart and clean and professional. Quote
The Dark Lord Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Very good. I like the bit where you say,
"After trying many different basses over the years including high end custom made instruments and top brand names, and spending ridiculous amounts of money, I genuinely now believe it’s hard to beat a Fender Precision bass."
Quote
Roland Rock Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 (edited) Very nice. That Lagrene solo video is f***ing nuts! Edited August 28, 2012 by Roland Rock Quote
paul_5 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012
No apostrophe in 'videos'
True dat, unless you moonlight as a greengrocer. Like the site (and the playing too) - the layout is just right in that it doesn't look empty, but it's not too busy. Good photography too. Quote

JTUK Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 NIcely laid out site... and a work in progress, but it is pretty much all there bar whatever content you choose to fill it with. Quote
tauzero Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 The "gig dates" table could do with changing - the heading "City" appears over the band names, there's an apparently useless "Tickets" column, and no indication of the venue. A possible solution, if you're not putting the venue into that table, is to make the band names clickable to take you to their event pages (which also means people can easily find out what the bands do). tonyclaret Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I really like it, sterling job. Nice and clean, the only slight alteration would be although very fussy is the order of the top menu, I'm not sure how important equipment is in relation to everything else I would be tempted to put it second to last before contact. Good luck with it. Quote
