DiMarco Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 The 5-er is from 1995, thus made of Boire wood with a Wengé/Zebrano laminated neck instead of the Ovangkol Warwick uses nowadays. I bought it from a german ebayer and it was in really bad shape. Polished the frets, cleaned all the wood, replaced trussrod + all hardware. The pre and pots were luckily still functioning. The bass is now like a brand new one as it obviously had been in damp storage for years and hadn't been played on a great deal at all. I don't think I will ever part with it. Quote
lowdowner Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I'm impressed - i'd not know how to bring a bass back to life like that. Jealous of course, but good on you Quote
