phsycoandy Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) A well played but sound Stingray. Serial dates it to 1992. In Olympic White which has mellowed and gone creamy in areas. Stuning birds eye maple neck which is in mint condition, no fret wear. The body has several smallish dings mainly on the back and lower edge and a fine crack in the finish on the rear. Chrome battery cover. Has a chip on the top edge of the original scratch plate. Has the string mutes. Sounds thunderous. This is a players bass, and not in mint condition. Strap locks included. Comes with a brand new Gator hard case. £799 plus a tenner to ship. Paypal gift or transfer please. Edited September 2, 2012 by phsycoandy
BassVentura-FretDetective Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Mmmm, as soon as I can shift my Aria I'll have my eye open for such beauties. Looks a bit like the Stingray classic (So Birds Eye do necks AND fish fingers now...)
AndThenSome1 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I don't think I've ever GASsed for a 'Ray more than this one...
stingrayPete1977 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Thats the best era of Ray IMO, 6 bolt neck, wheel of fortune, muted bridge, figured neck and the contoured body. You cant get that combination any other way
phsycoandy Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Thanks for the comments. Will always look at trades to help things along. New strings fitted today, plus the new hard case purchased for shipping her included.

This probably won't be around for too long..

And it looks like the whole neck is still glossy, brilliant!!
stingrayPete1977 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Give it another ten years and everyone will want one, I already do
stingrayPete1977 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Well sold and well bought, I'd be very happy to own that bass, great spec and great colour. I'm jelous, can you tell?
