binky_bass
Hey Guys! Right, so I sold my Spector Euro LX6 on the basis that Mr Jon Letts said he'd build me a killer 7 string. So, the diary begins here! So far, we havent fully decided on the spec... apart from the fact it'll have a real specail top wood, a matching headstock cap and a 5 laminate neck. Heres what we've decided on so far...

Individual bridge saddles
Hipshot tuners
Aguilar OBP3
Built in reverb
5 laminate neck
Matching top and cap
Block inlays to match the top
Neck bindings
Birdseye or flamed/quilted maple board
18mm string spacing
Thats about it for now, pickups are yet to be decided, but it'll probably be Jons in-house pups in the SSS layout. Here's a few pics to get this diary started! Russ. BODY! HEADSTOCK! NECK BLANK!
It does indeed, poplar burr sounds like a much nicer name though! Anything burl sounds like something exciting though... LukeFRC
built in reverb?!
lettsguitars
It'sa whole other beast to work with. I used 100 grams of super glue to get this 'unstabilized' bit where I wanted it. You have to wash it with glue for every pass of the thicknesser. Takes time, but worth it in the end.

binky_bass
Well this 7 string bass will be the baby of the bunch... the daddy being the 10 string bee. And as for the reverb... its something I use a lot of and it made sense to have it done to save carting pedals etc around! Can't wait to get my hands on this thing!
