I would have to have a Jazz neck on mine though :)

Apart from your selector switch, here it is!

...Do you have to register to get the image?

Yes, to download a rendered JPEG. But you can go through the motions and get a screen shot at the end for free ;)

I notice a lot of people here are choosing bound necks. Why doesnt the current bass market reflect that?
[/quote]

I think the only guys that do, non custom, are Sandberg and Lakland.

I much prefer bound necks, unfortunately it means you have to spend lots of money on a bass these days. I don't know why Fender stopped doing them on the Jazz to be honest, I think they look like something is missing. And they never did on the Precision unless it had a Jazz neck on there. Unless you fork out for the very very top end model you just get dots. Very disappointing. I find white binding really helps with first note location when on a dark stage, and it makes re-fretting a whole lot easier not having to colour match 30 year old nitro after sanding!

Hmm, why does no-one take horizontal photos of surfboards?

Not the colours I will be choosing when I eventually spray mine, but similar (think white instead of grey, cream instead of red and an ochre in the middle):

Pretty sure Harley Benton did a version of the Natural Squier VM for about £110 until very recently... vanished now though so they must be either discontinued or sold out. Be fantastic if it was an option on Mex Fenders again... that and those Jazz bass bodies where you can remove the scratchplate without exposing the routing, jaco style. Real shame that's mostly only on the expensive models these days too.

Just a very quick one, I'm in work after all, will do some mad ones when I get the chance. ( I know the neck PUP is out of alignment )

This is the bass I'll be building soon, the body will be coming off an Encore Blaster of the same colour, the rest of the bits I'll be sourcing from here if possible. Haven't decided on the pickups I'll be using yet.
