Hipshot Xtender for Thunderbird

I'm trying to work out what model of Hipshot I would need for my new(ish) [url="http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Bass/Gibson-USA/Thunderbird-IV-Bass/Features.aspx"]Gibson Thunderbird[/url]. As far as I can tell I think I need the GB7 in black. [url="http://store.hipshotproducts.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=72"]http://store.hipshotproducts.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=72[/url]

Has anybody fitted an Xtender to their Thunderbird, and if so which model?

The stock tuners are Grover, but the Hipshot website says the GB7 is a replacement for Gotoh tuners. Is there much of a difference?

hiho,I fitted a gb7 to an epiphone pro4 t-bird
easy to do
e-mail hipshot and they will tell you what one
