KennysFord Posted September 4, 2012 Share Posted September 4, 2012 Hi Folks, I have an old 2 pedal Trace Elliot footswitch for the pre shape and graphic on the Trace. Will I be able to use it with my Ampeg SVT3pro for the Graphic and Mute functions ?? It has what looks like a stereo 1/4" jack, Tip/Ring/Ring. Thanks in advance. mike257 Posted September 18, 2012 Share Posted September 18, 2012 Haven't got direct experience with the Trace switch, but it's likely to work. There's only so many ways to wire up a two-button switch on a TRS jack, so you'll usually find most are compatible. The main difference is often whether momentary or latching switches have been used, and if you've got the wrong type you can probably change them cheaply enough if you don't mind getting the soldering iron out! I used a Marshall footswitch with both a Trace AH300SMX and with an Ampeg SVP Pro, and it worked fine. Also a 1/4" TRS plug, BTW. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
