Trace Footswitch with Ampeg SVT3

Hi Folks,
I have an old 2 pedal Trace Elliot footswitch for the pre shape and graphic on the Trace.
Will I be able to use it with my Ampeg SVT3pro for the Graphic and Mute functions ??

It has what looks like a stereo 1/4" jack, Tip/Ring/Ring.

Haven't got direct experience with the Trace switch, but it's likely to work. There's only so many ways to wire up a two-button switch on a TRS jack, so you'll usually find most are compatible.

The main difference is often whether momentary or latching switches have been used, and if you've got the wrong type you can probably change them cheaply enough if you don't mind getting the soldering iron out!

Well I gave it a go and works on the Ampeg providing you keep the buttons pressed in with your foot. At least I know it works now, I'll just have to get a pedal with the right switches.

Should work in some way or another.
I used a Marshall footswitch with both a Trace AH300SMX and with an Ampeg SVP Pro, and it worked fine.
Also a 1/4" TRS plug, BTW.
