alex_1_2_3 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) Got these a few weeks back from thomann, since decided to switch back to Evah's. Only been on my bass for a couple of weeks. Nice nylon feel with a tungsten wound rope core and they look cool too! Sold Pending the usual Edited October 6, 2012 by alex_1_2_3
BassInMyFace Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 you have to be kidding me. been wanting to try these for ages and guess what, placed my order yesterday. sometimes the universe just hates you i guess.
alex_1_2_3 Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 That's a shame mate, depending on who you got them from, there's normally a cancellation period... just a thought!
BassInMyFace Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 thomann, but i added some extra stuff to order. i made my bed, now i gotta play bass in it.
alex_1_2_3 Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Ah ok, nevermind, was just a thought!
Clarky Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 To help your sale along, here is a soundclip from the German distributor http://soundcloud.com/landomusic/tracks Sounds pretty good to my ears!
BassInMyFace Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 great strings. real all rounders, you can slap, pizz and surprisingly bow-able too. real nice low tension but loads of volume even on the E. nice and dark sound with a gut-like character but steel tungsten core keeps them in tune forever and works amazing with a magnetic pickup. highly recommended. no idea why there is so little info on the internet about them.
alex_1_2_3 Posted September 22, 2012 Author Posted September 22, 2012 Thanks for the comments, I think they are a relatively new string, hence the lack of info
Dr Phibes Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Any idea how these measure up tension-wise compared to the Ultralites?
alex_1_2_3 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012
Any idea how these measure up tension-wise compared to the Ultralites?
I'm not sure, i've never tried ultralites. I found them very easy to play though, particularly the D and G, the E and A seem slightly more tense on my bass. Hopefully someone else on here might know!
philw Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Anybody any idea if these will fit on an NS CR4 EUB? They need to be pretty long from the ball-end to the wrap. P
alex_1_2_3 Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 Yeah somebody else asked me a similar question... I honestly don't know, hopefully someone on here can help you out!
alex_1_2_3 Posted October 5, 2012 Author Posted October 5, 2012 If this helps the string length (from the ball end to the start of the winding) is 135cm.
