Gonch1983
Hi there.... So the question is basically, What are your thoughts on Epoxy resin on a fretless fingerboard? Are there other methods or fineshes to get a crisper sound from a frettless? Or should it be left alone for a warmer sound. Discuss.
Conan
Well it apparently worked for Jaco... it will also protect the board from wear. Does it actually make the sound less warm? Are there different grades of "epoxy"? Some harder than others?
Kiwi
A coat of polyeurathane is used by Pedulla - literally just spraying on load and loads of coats. Can't be used on necks that flex a lot though or the fingerboard will crack.

Conan
That Vigier with the metal board still sounds pretty 'warm' to me!
ikay
Yes, beautiful isn't it! The metal board does sound surpisingly warm and organic.
