Geoff Allan Father of Rick Allan

Sad to say that our dear friend Geoff Allan (known to us as Geoff Leppard) father of Def Leppards Rick Allan passed away yesterday after a long illness.
Geoff lived in Dronfield North Derbyshire and was a regular visitor at ours and other local bands gigs until his illness took its toll.
I know that there will be a massive turnout at his funeral due to the high esteem for him by everyone who knew him.

Sad news indeed, Rick was a couple of years below me at secondary school, nice lad as I recall. I will listen to some Leppard tomorrow in memory.
