Richelieu Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 I'm looking for about £850 for the amp And about £450 for the cab
TommyK Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012
That's the same rig as mine. A monster
Hi Chris.....Hmmm I bet it is too.... Next time you mistakenly want to get rid of a mesa head, get hold of me, and this time I won't mistakenly get rid of it for some other junk!......damn the GAS

IMO the Bass 400+ is about as good as it gets in bass amp terms, but takes some serious experimentation to get sounding right (in that respect it's nothing like the M-Pulse 600). Not sure f you've played one but I'd recommend trying before you buy. All the best mate, C
Gary Williams Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Whereabouts are you based Richelieu?
Richelieu Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Hi, sorry, the forums not telling me when anyone's replied. I'm in Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Gary Williams Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) Hi - do you have any pics of the 1516 cab plus what model number is it? Plain 1516 or 1516 B or 1516 BE or 1516 EV? An idea of age and condition would be useful too please. Edited September 18, 2012 by Gary Williams
Richelieu Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 I'm sorry I can't say for sure what model it is as it doesn't appear to be labelled anywhere. I've had the handle off on one side and would say that the speakers appear to be ev ones. Can't see the 15"one though without taking the grills off and don't really want to start taking it to bits tbh. Age wise I'd say its got a bit of age to it BUT again without a serial number I can't be sure. The workings themselves are in cracking condition, the outer case is showing a couple of small scratches and a bit of bubbling to the side handles, but as you prob know, these things are built like a tank. I'm going to attempt to upload some photos, but bear with me
Richelieu Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 Here we go, missus to the rescue...
Gary Williams Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Thanks for this - very useful. 2 last questions I promise - do you know the dimensions and the approximate weight of this beast?
Richelieu Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 It's 24" wide x 18" deep x 41" high (38" + 3" casters)
Richelieu Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 And according to google (where would we be without it!) it weights in at about 55kgs. It is on really beefy castors though.
Beedster Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Are Google quoting for the road ready version? Mine isn't and weighs in at about that? Not a cab to won if you have a spiral staircase* I can assure you. C *Or a Fiat Punto
Richelieu Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 According to Mesa boogie original specs; standard 50kg, road ready 55 and a bit kg.
Beedster Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012
According to Mesa boogie original specs; standard 50kg, road ready 55 and a bit kg.
Ah sorry, I'd expected the road-ready case to be substantially more than 5kg. Still, not one for the Punto drivers
Gary Williams Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 That's 7KG less than the 1200 Powerhouse
Richelieu Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Seen it, thank you. Will wait to hear from you. Both still available in the mean time
Richelieu Posted September 23, 2012 Author Posted September 23, 2012 Cab now sold, amp still available
