CPBass Posted September 7, 2012 Share Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) Hi folks. The preamp on my Warwick Streamer Stage 1 has blown. I'm an absolute numpty when it comes to the electronics. Any advice on what I could replace it with to give it a bit of new life. I've seen so many different combinations that my brain is shot. It has a single Bartloini humbucking pickup and two stack knob controls. Where do I go from here? All help much appreciated. LukeFRC Posted September 7, 2012 Share Posted September 7, 2012 How did you do that mate? Ask around for a replacement MEC one. they do come up time to time and when they do they don't cost too much. New ones are silly expensive. Bart preamps seem to be stuck in warwicks a fair bit, aguilar for more agressive tone. IMO, and IME Glockenklang doesn't work well. CPBass Posted September 7, 2012 Author Share Posted September 7, 2012 It's a East BTB that is being wired up to split the humbucker so having vol vol on one stack and bass and treble on the other one.
