It's that part of the base which usually has fretts. Unless it's a frettles. Sometimes known as an "arm".

This body (boddey?) looks awfully like the Brazilian ones that were coming from Ebay a couple of years back. Always thought a Vampyre body would be a good candidate for a headless project...

looks like he ran out of wood and glued a different bit on the bottom... anyway... them's Jazz holes if I'm not mistaken... I think I've seen one or two basses by now and feel qualified to pontificate on the subject... :)

the neck pocket looks more suited to a 2 octave neck.

the bridge would be right on the edge of the body with a 20 fret neck.
