It's that part of the base which usually has fretts. Unless it's a frettles. Sometimes known as an "arm".

This body (boddey?) looks awfully like the Brazilian ones that were coming from Ebay a couple of years back. Always thought a Vampyre body would be a good candidate for a headless project...

looks like he ran out of wood and glued a different bit on the bottom... anyway... them's Jazz holes if I'm not mistaken... I think I've seen one or two basses by now and feel qualified to pontificate on the subject...

Them pup holes (I wont call them routs or cavities as that would imply a certain amount of thought went into them) look somewhat asymmetrical too.

the neck pocket looks more suited to a 2 octave neck.

the bridge would be right on the edge of the body with a 20 fret neck.
