I remember thinking that it sounded like King Iggy when I first heard it. I cant believe the number of people who confidently tell you he sang it. Edited September 8, 2012 by daz Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012
Without You by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of Badfinger. Most people credit the song to Harry Nilsson. A few wretched souls even think it's by Mariah Carey.
As I'm on a real computer now I can add the actual song. el borracho Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 It has to be Uptown Girl by Weezer. If you Google it you will find loads of references to it. It's even on YouTube and it tells you which album it appears on. The fact is they never recorded it- every version you hear (that is attributed to Weezer) is the one by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. JimBobTTD Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. A couple of people think it was Dolly Parton simply because she sang it earlier and better and with more conviction. Oh, and wrote it. Quote

spinynorman Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 I suppose the classic is Hey Joe, claimed by Tim Rose and half a dozen other people, none of whom seem to be able to prove their case beyond reasonable doubt. Quote
